As President of Zonta Club Ibadan 1 for the 2024–2026 biennium, I am deeply honored to lead a team of visionary and service driven women committed to advancing the status of women in our communities.
iennium theme, “Empowering Women and Girls Through Education, Enterprise, and Health,” reflects our urgent and purposeful response to the socio-economic realities affecting women in Nigeria today. With strategic interventions across multiple Local Government Areas in Ibadan, we are determined to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.
This biennium, our focus will be anchored on three flagship projects:
Skills Acquisition and Economic Empowerment: Training 300 women and girls in high-demand vocational skills, providing starter kits, and mentoring them into entrepreneurship.
STEM Scholarships for Girls: Supporting 100 academically promising girls from low-income backgrounds with school funding, mentorship, and encouragement to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Women’s Health and Wellness Campaign: Reaching over 1,000 women with free medical check-ups and vital health education in underserved communities.
Our goal is not only to serve — but to empower. We believe that when women thrive, communities flourish.
